The Flyin Bears provides annual scholarships to young people ages 14 - 17
to the EAA Air Academy summer youth camps located at Oshkosh, WI. The camps
encourage and nurture one-of-a-kind aviation experience with three camp
levels. Young people can participate in the aviation experience of a lifetime at
EAA’s premier summer aviation camps. Not only are there on-the-ground,
"hands-on" activities but actual flight simulation and, weather
permitting, an "in-the-air" experience as well. The EAA
"Experience" Camp is the "next step" through the exciting
world of flight. This camp gets young teens involved in flight through a variety
of "hands-on" activities. Science, math and technology come together
in such a unique way that the participants fully enjoy learning.
In addition to the EAA Air
Academy, the Chapter provides deserving your people with a scholarship
to Tradewind Aviation's summer Aviation Camp held at the New Bern
airport. Participants receive extensive ground and flight training
over the week long program.
